Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use our Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Services Provided

We connect students and/or parents and guardians ("Users") with qualified tutors ("Tutors") for one-on-one or group educational sessions conducted online. Sessions may include video, audio, messaging, and file sharing.

3. Account Registration

To access most features, Users and Tutors must register an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity under your account.

4. Payments and Fees

• For Students: You agree to pay all fees associated with your tutoring sessions or subscription plan. Fees and payment terms will be displayed at the time of purchase.
• For Tutors: Tutors will be compensated according to the agreed rate, minus applicable service fees. Tutors are responsible for any taxes due on their income.
• All payments are processed through third-party payment processors. We do not store your payment information.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

• Students may cancel a session up to 12 hours in advance for a full refund or reschedule.
• Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.
• Tutors who cancel frequently or fail to appear may be removed from the platform.

6. Code of Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm another user
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to defraud or scam users
• Share login credentials with others

Tutors must maintain professionalism at all times and deliver services as advertised.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Tutors or the Service, including lessons, notes, or proprietary content, remain the intellectual property of the creator. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share such materials without permission.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee academic results or outcomes from tutoring services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the past 12 months.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Kampala, Uganda.
